PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE |
Having had graduated in Latvia as a lawyer and obtaining an additional Master's degree in Public Administration, Liga continued her academic path at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) where she obtained a Master's degree in law (with distinction) and University certificate in banking and financial law, and at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in “Executive Master in Finance” program.
She has extensive local and international legal experience acquired while working in judicial system, public administration (procurement and contracting for the Ministry of defense and the National armed forces) in Latvia, for an international construction group in Belgium, and a non-profit organization in Belgium, aiming to promote and expand the Baltic design product market in Belgium.
Liga’s areas of expertise are administrative law, construction law, trade and contract law, financial products and markets regulations, public procurement regulation.
In addition to the Latvian mother tongue, she speaks English, Russian and French at a professional level.
